Session A: Women & Hormonal Health: A Natural Approach
Sadler Center | Tidewater B

Balanced, healthy hormone levels are critical to a woman’s well-being. But environmental toxins, stress, diet and other factors can disrupt these hormones, triggering conditions such as premenstrual syndrome, painful periods, perimenopause, endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome. In this presentation, Christine Dennis P ’21, a Swiss-certified naturopath and nutritionist, will explore natural solutions to support hormone balance, from plant-based remedies to nutritional strategies, and highlight the critical role of gut microbiota in overall health.

Session B: Leah Glenn Dance Theatre: An Exploration of Movement as Communication

Sadler Center | Tidewater A

Join Karen “KT” Tomlinson Newton ’77, former assistant U.S. attorney and art crime prosecutor, for a conversation with William & Mary anthropologist and curator Danielle Moretti-Langholtz about the hidden world of art theft, forgery and cultural restitution. From working with the FBI to recover stolen Revolution-era artifacts to consulting on high-profile museum cases, Newton brings deep insight into the intersection of law, ethics and the art world. Together, she and Moretti-Langholtz will explore how legal frameworks shape our understanding of ownership, value and historical responsibility.

Session E: Three Women of Florence
Sadler Center | Chesapeake C

Explore the lives and legacies of three remarkable women who helped shape the cultural and civic identity of Florence in this presentation by W&M visiting professor Michele Spike. From Matilda of Tuscany’s political power and patronage to Anna Maria Luisa de’ Medici’s foresight in preserving the city’s artistic treasures, their stories reveal the enduring influence of female leadership. The session also examines Florence’s deep devotion to the Virgin Mary, whose image inspired art, poetry and civic pride throughout the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Together, these figures illuminate Florence’s rise as a center of faith, beauty and cultural innovation.
