Join Rose Cardarelli Ed.D. ’14, founder of the Education for All Coalition, and Teresa Longo, executive director of the Reves Center for International Studies, for an engaging, living room-style conversation on peace, leadership and global responsibility. Drawing on their work in international education, human rights and diplomacy, they’ll share how values-driven leadership can advance positive change around the world.
Session B: Designing Balance: Building Work-Life Harmony for Career Satisfaction and Sustainable Success
Sadler Center | Tidewater A
In today’s fast-paced professional world, the pursuit of success often comes at the expense of personal well-being. During this session, Kathleen Powell, W&M’s chief career officer and associate vice president for advancement, will offer a transformative approach to redefine success through intentional work-life harmony. This session explores practical strategies and mindset shifts to help professionals create a sustainable and fulfilling career without sacrificing their priorities.
Session C: Breaking the Silence on Menopause and Mental Health
Sadler Center | Chesapeake B
Juliana Hauser Ph.D. ’05 conducted a mental health survey that asked women 35+ to share about their mental health during their perimenopause and menopause journey. It’s time to break the silence about the unique mental health needs women have during this time of life and advocate for training for our mental health professionals. Learn about the connections between sleep, agency, joy and mental health, and how to create a support network that helps you to celebrate and uplift this new stage of life.
Session D: Women, Identity and Change: A Navigating Transitions Conversation
Sadler Center | Chesapeake A
Join us for a powerful session exploring how identity shifts across life’s transitions — career changes, caregiving, loss and personal reinvention. Through storytelling, paired reflections and group discussion, we’ll hold space for the questions that shape who we are becoming. This session offers a glimpse into the heart of the Navigating Transitions program and is a warm invitation to continue your journey with us this fall. Executive coaches Amy Steindler ’80 and Sequoia Brown Owen ’12 and Dorian Baroni ’81 will lead this session. Learn more about the fall Navigating Transitions program.
